Enriching Community Arts

The School of Sing!

Many people excel in only one vocal area, while struggling in others. Those who can bridge the gap between solo performance, group singing, and public speaking tend to excel across all settings. My passion is to develop well-rounded vocalists who will shine as speakers, group singers, and soloists, enriching our community and the arts,

Our goal is to elevate the quality of vocals for singers, choirs, musicals, actors, theaters, and businesses across the Twin Tiers. If you’re part of such an organization, we’re here to support you by enhancing your vocal skills.

This semester-based vocal program is designed to help local community members grow through a comprehensive vocal curriculum. Our program includes..

  • individual instruction

  • group instruction

  • Self-Expression coaching

  • presentation coaching

  • audition preparation

  • performance coaching

  • strategies to overcome stage fright

Mark Cox

Hi, I’m Mark Cox, I am a singer, actor, director, public speaker, choir director, life coach and vocal coach. My passion is helping people find their voice — whether that’s through singing, speaking, or performing. With a degree in music and counseling, I’ve had the joy of working with all kinds of artists, creatives, and communicators.

I am the founder of the School of SING!, a founding producing director with Actors A La Carte and currently serve as the assistant music director of the Cantata Singers, and I’m deeply committed to the School of Sing’s mission: building a community of well-rounded vocalists grounded in their humanity and joy for living. My heart is in helping singers, speakers, and performers overcome fear, connect deeply with themselves, and create meaningful connections with their audiences.

I also lead self-discovery retreats designed to guide people toward greater confidence, authenticity, and freedom in how they express themselves. Whether you’re stepping onto a stage or stepping into a new sense of self, I’d love to walk alongside you on that journey.
